Trakai District has always been famous for its ethnic diversity. Currently, 42% of the district's population is nonnationals: Poles, Russians, Belarusians, Karaites and others. This contributes to the abundance of foreign partners in Trakai District. Trakai District Municipality and elderships have signed international cooperation agreements with cities in Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Italy, Israel, Poland, Turkey, Ukraine, Germany. Cooperation with partners takes place in the fields of culture, tourism, sport, social protection, municipal economy, nature conservation and other relevant areas. We aim to learn from our partners' good practices and share their achievements. We work together with our partners on joint projects.
